STEPH SHORE

Stephanie Shore is a freelance trombonist, graduating from the Royal Academy of Music in 2013 where she gained a BMus (Hons) in trombone performance and studied classical trombone with Dudley Bright, Mark Templeton, Matt Gee and Ian Bousfield. Stephanie has a passion for Jazz and pop playing and took up second study Jazz trombone under the tuition of Gordon Campbell and Mark Bassey.

Whilst at the Royal Academy of Music Stephanie played in many of the orchestral and opera projects, playing under prestigious conductors such as Sir Colin Davis, Mark Elder, Yan Pascal Tortelier, Jane Glover. Stephanie also played in numerous Academy Jazz Orchestra concerts and several of the Musical theatre productions in the Sir Jack Lyons Theatre at the Royal Academy of Music. In May 2012 Stephanie won 2nd place in the Don Lusher Soloist Competition held by the British Trombone Society.

As a freelance professional Stephanie plays orchestrally and as a jazz/pop session player in and around London, the UK and worldwide. She has recorded for games soundtracks and BBC drama, ‘Good Omens’. She has played in professional productions of Disney’s Aladdin, Punchdrunk’s Burnt City, Peter Pan, A Chorus Line and Mack & Mabel. She also can be seen playing in festivals up and down the UK as well as abroad with various bands including Symphonica Orchestra featuring Mr Switch and Elle & the pocketbelles.
